The event is free and there is no cost for site entry.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nevents will showcase the height of Victorian industrial engineering\nat the Anderton Boat Lift which has been transformed by steam powered\ntraction engines both big and small, steam powered car and historic\nnarrowboats. The visitors can also view the Duke of Normandy tug\nwhich was built for the German Customs service in 1934. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\ncan find the 7 steam traction engines of which include huge engines\nVanguard, Oberon and Avelanna, the new build Wanderer and miniature\ntraction engines etc at the events. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nvisitors can also enjoy viewing historic narrowboats connecting the\nTrent and Mersey Canal and the River Weaver, from the National\nHistoric Ships Register such as the Effingham, Rudd and Thea and also\nthe Lynx, King, Sweden and Swallow.  \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>General\nManager at Anderton Boat Lift &#8211; Timothy Turner said that the boat\nlift is a wonderful spectacular where you can enjoy the steam\nfestival. The boat lift was the first successful one in the world and\nrecognized by its Scheduled Ancient Monument status. It is a great\nproof for the work of Victorian engineers. They are looking forward\nto welcome all for this free event. You can enjoy their historic\nengines and other things. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\nwill also be available very interesting exhibition on the history of\nthe lift, well stocked shop at free of charge and also famous Tree\nTop Coffee Shop where you can enjoy drinks and fresh foods.
