The free event has been organized by Diabetes UK and North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group and will run from 9.30am to 4pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nevent is aimed on people with type 2 diabetes to know more\ninformation on healthy diet, reducing the risk of complications and\nbecome confident on their routine life. Around 10,000+ people are\nsuffered with diabetes in Basingstoke and most of them suffer with\ntype 2 diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\nare more than 10,800 people diagnosed with diabetes in the\nBasingstoke area and around 90 per cent of these have Type 2. The\nparticipants will be provided with lunch and refreshments. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr.Christian\nChilcott from North Hampshire CCG\u2019s Clinical lead for diabetes said\nthat those suffer with diabetes must take care of themselves. If they\ncan well diabetes, they can able to reduce the risk of various\ncomplications including lower limb amputations, blindness, kidney\nfailure and stroke. The free event will offer the participants more\ninformation to manage diabetes. The participants can meet and\ninteract with health professionals. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nfree event is open to all living with Type 2 diabetes or for their\ncarers.
