Everyone is invited. A special anniversary exhibition Ink and Blood: Stories of Abolition is one of the highlights of the month of events. It explores the end of slavery and focuses on the plight of people affected in the 18<sup>th<\/sup> and 19<sup>th<\/sup> centuries and their freedom later. Empress-jai, the poetess, presents Nina Simone, the jazz songstress, and about her music and activism on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">There will be a free screening, on 27<sup>th<\/sup> October, at the museum of the film Hidden Figures. It&#8217;s about the pioneering Black women during early days of NASA&#8217;s space programme. The Faces of Change badge can be made by visitors to celebrate iconic and inspirational Black women over history. The Black History month will also engage children with lots of free activities, with stores of African slaves (on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> October), with workshops on civilisations of West Africa (on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> October) and freedom fighter badge-making (on 28<sup>th<\/sup> October). Venues of National Museums Liverpool will be also hosting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.voice-online.co.uk\/article\/black-history-month-international-slavery-museum\">free events<\/a> during Black History Month.
