Get festive and visit the Manchester Christmas Market too. The Whitworth Art Gallery will transform into a Scandinavian wonderland, hosting a plethora of free events that weekend.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">One of the free activities in the 2-day shindig will be ice-skating on an environmentally sustainable ice-rink. An outdoor cinema in the Art Garden will be screening short films and images of the Northern Lights. To keep the festive air going there will be live music, international street-food, craft ales, mulled wine and hot chocolate.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">UK&#8217;s famous outdoor arts company Walk The Plank, will be performing &#8216;The Ice Queen &amp;Ice Queen&#8217;s Courtyard&#8217; at the Sculpture Terrace, involving an array of theatre forms, including puppetry and light displays.
