The venue is at Satellite Applications Catapult, Electronic Building, on Fermi Avenue Harwell, in Didcot, Oxford.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">This is a great chance to get hands-on experience in building a basic satellite. Get to know the code to operate these devices, based on modern embedded systems. During the weekend, participants get to understand the principles of a working satellite, from basic avionics systems up to operating an instrument on-orbit. Familiarity with basic programming in C on the Arduinos platform will help. So will knowledge of simple experiments with Raspberry Pi or Arduinos or mbeds.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">Registration for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southgatearc.org\/news\/2015\/august\/uk_nanosat_weekend.htm#.VdgPu47Liv9\" target=\"_blank\">free event<\/a> is for a team of four.
