Free entry to Newark Air Museum

The National lottery players can get free entry to the Neward Air Museum on Saturday – December 8 & Sunday – December 9, 2018. The offer is given by the museum as it is also a beneficiary of National Lottery fund. So to say thank you and take part in Thanks-to-you campaign for those who helped to raise money for good causes by just buying a lottery ticket.

Hence any visitor who is holding a National Lottery ticket or a Scratchcard will be allowed with free entry on the above mentioned dates to the museum site. The museum is located at Newark Air Museum, Drove Lane, Winthorpe, Newark, Notts, NG24 2NY and will be open between 10 am to 4 pm.

The museum was first registered as a limited company in 1968 and after spending no of years to develop a former World War II training base on Winthorpe showground, it was open to public in April 1973. It opened its first aircraft display hall in 1990 and second one in 2004. The museum secured an amount of £453,000 in 2003 from The National Lottery fund which helped them for second Aircraft Display hall construction on the Southfield Site.

Former Minister for Sport and Civil Society – Tracey Crouch said that this is a fantastic campaign for National Lottery projects to give something back to lottery ticket purchasers that really helped in raising money for various good causes. There are many such attractions across the country and he encourages everybody to make use of such wonderful opportunity to visit the attractions in their area.

Howard Heeley – Trustee of Museum said that they thank to the lottery players as they can able to cover around 25 aircraft & cockpits and thereby protect them for future generations to enjoy. The campaign is a nice way to give little bit back to the players in the local community.
